On stage, in the room, at the table

Panel moderator, festival host and keynote chair for live events, brand activations and industry conferences.

I love to talk. It’s one of the reasons I became a journalist in the first place. Having spent more than a decade interviewing chefs, visiting vineyards and reporting from places all over the world, I’m used to both asking the questions and engaging an audience. I’m an experienced presenter and host and I’m equally at home guiding an intimate wine tasting, moderating a debate about sustainable travel, hosting a chef in conversation, or anchoring a food festival stage. I’ve been the resident host of the Wines and Spirits Theatre at the National Geographic Traveller Food Festival for four editions.

Judging and commentary

I’m regularly asked to be a judge for major industry awards such as the PPA Next Gen AwardsInternational Content Marketing AwardsGuild of Food Writers Awards, and the annual awards for the Australian Society of Travel Writers. As a panellist, I’ve spoken about topics as diverse as AI in travel journalism, and the realities of being a journalist, to the ins and outs of branded content. I’m a regular guest on BBC Radio Wales commenting on trending travel and food topics, as well as being invited onto podcasts to discuss everything from Welsh cheese to the Canary Islands.
