Hello, I'm Ross – a writer, editor and content marketing consultant specialising in travel, food and wine content. I'm freelance, which means that I write for lots of titles, such as the BBC, National Geographic Traveller, The Sunday Times, The Independent, Evening Standard, iNews, British Airways High Life, Air Baltic and Wizz Air. Travel-wise, I specialise in Spain – especially the Canary Islands of Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera and La Graciosa – and Wales, but I've travelled the globe from Tasmania to Tokyo, California to Copenhagen and written about many more countries. I'm delighted to be a member of both the British Guild of Travel Writers and the Guild of Food Writers. Talking of food, I cover everything from restaurant reviews to recipe writing, and I publish my own a newsletter all about Welsh food and drink called The Welsh Kitchen. I'm prone to a tipple but I promise I know what I'm talking about, as I have the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines.
A specialist in content marketing, I've led the teams responsible for the global digital and social media channels for brands such as British Airways and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group – overseeing the launch of digital magazines and editorial websites, Instagram innovations, WeChat magazines, podcasts, voice tours and many more activations.
